Images in Magazines

Ever think to yourself, "I wish I could as beautiful as those women on magazine covers..." ??? Well, we'd like to point out that there's a lot of work that goes into making those photos look like that. Those models & actresses do NOT roll out of bed looking gorgeous- for the most part, they're average gals, just like us. Beth Cupitt recently sent us a link to a website that highlights this point. Last month, we featured the Dove "Campaign for Real Beauty" - and we LOVE it! Their "Evolution" video hits this issue perfectly. (Just check out this before and after photo- can you believe it's even the same person?!?!?) If you haven't seen it yet, you HAVE to watch it!

And just to repeat our personal stance on this issue (when it comes to your photos).... YES, we DO use airbrushing to soften and smooth your skin, accentuating your natural beauty and giving every photo that magazine-quality look. We do NOT, however, change you into something or someone you are not- you are already beautiful just as you are, no matter what shape or size. Our goal at Woman Captured is to capture the essence and true beauty of EVERY woman... and our hope and prayer is that through this experience, you will see yourself as you truly are: beautiful.
